Joinery External Solid Oak 1930s Style
Built by our own joinery, from European solid oak
The 1930s Style is drawn straight from the interwar suburbs - the distinctive panelling of the bay-fronted semi. If your home is from that era, this is the door it was designed to wear, and in solid oak it brings back the period detail so many of these houses have lost.
Best suited to 1930s–50s semis and bay-fronted suburban homes
Whichever style you choose, it is made to order at our own Norfolk joinery - not imported, not bought in. Our craftspeople build each door by hand from European solid oak on a solid oak core, a full 44mm thick, so the door you hang is the door we made.
The oak is slow-grown European timber, kiln-dried for stability so it stands up to the British weather without warping. Branded retailers sell imports and bespoke joiners charge £1,200+ - we sit in between: a real workshop, real oak, at online prices.
