The Ledged door is the most traditional in the collection - solid oak boards held by ledges and braces, the honest construction of a barn or cottage door. There is nothing fussy about it; it is built to look like exactly what it is, and in oak it only improves with age.
Best suited to cottages, barns, outbuildings and rural homes
Whichever style you choose, it is made to order at our own Norfolk joinery - not imported, not bought in. Our craftspeople build each door by hand from European solid oak on a solid oak core, a full 44mm thick, so the door you hang is the door we made.
The oak is slow-grown European timber, kiln-dried for stability so it stands up to the British weather without warping. Branded retailers sell imports and bespoke joiners charge £1,200+ - we sit in between: a real workshop, real oak, at online prices.
